As Jumps racing was scheduled to resume in July we bought Un Beau Roman and Ring Minella back in as they both go on slightly better ground.
Megalodon wins at Warwick under Paddy Brennan.
He travelled well throghout the race and took it up after the third last, he just idled a bit on the run in but past the line in front by a neck. Shaws Cross made it two wins in a row for the Henderson Team following Truckers Cailin"s win at Ffos las 5 days earlier.
Tom once again give Shaw's Cross a great ride to wim on the heavy ground at Liningfeild. It's a long Journey to Ffos Las but seemed much shorter on the way home with a winner on board. It was Martins first winner. We all had a great day and it was Tom's birthday so his Dad was over to join in the celerbrations. Martin was made up as he went off home with his well deserved bottle of Champaign. Nick Scholfield wins the Revived Inns Novices' Handicap Chase at Plumpton. We change tactics with Crossely for this race and had him up hardy as we were worried about the lack of pace. So unlike his previous race he was able to get into a nice rythm. He jumped much better and was able to exert his superiority coming round the last bend and with a good jump at the lasthe came home convincingly .
As the season gets underway we had a second place finish for Our Nest Egg at Hexham. The rest of the yard continued their training too. Here's George on Doitforthevillage, Jamie on Crossly Tender, Rebecca on Ted Bach, Alyce on Polar Light and Bob on Trucker's Cailin as they went up the gallops on Saturday morning. |
