Horses are starting to come in after their Summer Break, the stables have been pressure washed and painted; everything is clean and ready to go for another year . We have 3 new Novices Duarigle, Megalodon and Big Man Clarence this year, recruited from the Irish Point to Point field and it will be exciting to see how they settle into the training regime as they progress towards their track debuts .Because of the horrible spring, we have extended the season for several of our better ground horses - Turban, Un Beau Roman, Good Man Vinnie and Sizing Sarah - they are now out on a mini break so as not to lose too much fitness and be able to have them back to take advantage of the better Autumn ground. Depending on the weather and the individual horse they may get longer breaks over the mid Winter period . On the racecourse Amron Kali ran a good race just touched off into 3rd by ¾ of a length. It was good to see after her wind operations that she is getting back to what we know she is capable of, as it was a very competitive race. Mr Mulliner galvanised by the application of blinkers at last showed the aptitude to race and although he blew up on the home turn, he did have Tom O'Brien, who rode the winner, a little concerned before that . Finally, I am pleased to announce a new yard sponsor: M R scaffolding Services has taken over from Steve’s Quickdraw supplies. I am grateful to both of them for their support .
