CROSSLEY GETS US OFF MARK AND HATCHET RUNS SOLID 5TH

After a good 5th place at Uttoxeter, Crossley Tender was well prepared to run a solid race at Newton Abbott on Thursday.
He jumped well throughout the race and won comfortably in the end. Nick Schofield gave him a very patient ride, taking him into the lead just before the last and drawing clear on the run-in.

905 days since his last run, Hatchet Jack put in a solid performance finishing 5th. He was ridden by Tom O'Brien, who was quick to say that Jack hadn't lost any of his ability.
