Bally wins the Happy Birthday Wayne Hockley Congratulations Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 3m2½fNick Scholfeild was pleased he got down to do the weight to win on Ballyegan Hero. He made it a strong even pace to ensure it didnt turn into a sprint finish, he remained a staying race which played into Bally's strengths. It was a great front running ride by Nick and a great performance by Bally.

Ballyegan Hero continues in good form with a second at Uttoxeter in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Chase (Class 2) 3m2f.
Bally jumped supurbly and got every yard of the trip and stayed on strongly. Tom was pleased he was able to compete at this grade. Small Bad Bob wins Newton Abbot in the 'Visit attheraces.com Novices' Hurdle' (Class 4) (4yo+) (2m2f110yds), comfortably under Nick Scholfield.
Nick was always up with the leaders but was soon able to assert like the 1/5 on favourite he was. Another great ride by Tom to win the Newton Abbot Racecourse On Facebook Handicap Chase
(Class 4) (0-120, 5yo+) (3m1f170yds) . We had discussed trying to lead in the race but Tom found all three of our competitors had the same idea. Tom sat off them with his usual patient manner and let them fight it out for the lead, after the third last they'd done their running and Tom pushed Bally into a 20 length lead. Exellent perfomance by horse and jockey. The long trip to Hexham was well worth it as Maasai Warrior wins the Holiday At Hexham Racecourse Caravan Park Handicap Chase over 2m4f. Maasai Travelled strongly in rear, jumped well making headway as he jumped, he tracked the leaders from 3 out when led going easily , he was shaken up and went clear from last. It was both our and Seans first winner at Hexham as the yards previous two trips had resulted in three 2nd's, great to finally go one better.
