Un Beau Roman And Doitforthevillage Vie For Cheltenham Success...

Un Beau Roman and Nick Scholfield on their way to winning the BetVictor Handicap Chase at Cheltenham - Nov 2016

​On Friday at Cheltenham, Un Beau Roman and Nick Scholfield will look to repeat their tremendous feat from last year and retain the BetVictor Handicap Chase. However, this year they'll not only face stiff competition from some of the country's top trainers, they'll be up against some competition from a little closer to home.
This year Paul has two horses entered. Doitforthevillage will be joining Un Beau in the race for the chase. Doit, who will be ridden by Paddy Brennan, had a great season last year, winning 5 races and picking up a further 2 places across the season. Now the 8-year-old gelding is looking for his first Cheltenham success.
After his Cheltenham win, Un Beau Roman followed the performance up with a 2nd place finish at Cheltenham a month later and we are hoping he will be able to recapture the form that saw him deliver these two fantastic results!
With both horses running there will definitely be some friendly competition between The Rockbourne Partnership (Doitforthevillage) and John Finch & The Romans (Un Beau), but only one can come out on top!  ​
