It's been a long road back from recovery for Sizing Sahara after the promising 8-year-old was pulled up at Fakenham in May, with what was later discovered to be a fractured cannon bone. It was an injury which could've ended the gelding's career, but thanks to the quick thinking of jockey, Tom O'Brien, who intuitively knew to pull up immediately, the damage was limited. Paul took the decision not to give up on the grey and to get the injury treated. Now after a 7-month layoff, Sizing Sahara returns to action this week in the 3.10 at Fontwell, on Tuesday. He should need the run after such a long time out of action, but this is a good horse and as you can see from the video he's moving well. We are all excited to welcome Sizing back to the fold and to see how he progresses over the next few months.
