Doitforthevillage delivers at Cheltenham...

On Friday at Cheltenham Un Beau Roman and Doitforthevillage both went looking to take the prize in the feature race of the day, The BetVictor Handicap Chase.
Un Beau Roman was looking to retain his title after winning the race last year. Meanwhile, Doitforthevillage has been progressing we throughout the year, winning 5 races, and was now in a position to take on Un Beau and the rest of the 9 strong field.
It was an exciting race, in front of a packed out Cheltenham Grandstand. Both horses took a little time to get into their stride, but it was Doitforthevillage who was out in front two out from home. Un Beau Roman finished strongly under Nick Scholfield, suggesting there is more to come from the former Cheltenham winner. But none of the field could catch Doitforthevillage, who powered up the famous Cheltenham hill to win the race and secure Paul Henderson Racing’s 3rd Cheltenham winner, retaining the BetVictor Handicap Chase for the yard.
