Two more of our new novice hurdlers run tomorrow following on from the promising runs of Hatchet Jack and Good Man Vinnie at Exeter at the end of October, we are heading to Chepstow Races tomorrow to see Ring Minella and Abbey Street making their first appearances under rules. Abbey Street, a 6-year-old by Asian Heights, owned by John and Janet Baigent, was placed in point to points in Ireland before we purchased him. Ring Minella is an unraced 6-year-old gelding by Kings Theatre. He's owned by The National Hunt Racing Enthusiasts (NHRE) Racing Club, who are some of the nearly 14,000 followers of the NHRE Facebook page. The page is set up to help racing enthusiasts keep in touch with all things National Hunt Racing. A group their members have decided to get into ownership for themselves by setting up their own racing club and leasing their own National Hunt racehorse. There are 120 members involved with Ring Minella. It is a fantastic, low cost, opportunity to have a real taste of owning a racehorse! We've been waiting for the soft ground, which has finally arrived, so we are looking forward to seeing these two (and many of the yard's horses) coming on with each race.
